Buda Folk Band
The Buda Folk Band is a Hungarian folk music ensemble consisting of young city dwellers. They were literally born into folk music, since their parents and teachers belong to the generation which instigated the dance house movement in the mid 1970s. The stimulating effect of home rehearsals and regular field work accompanied their teenage years and later they refined their skills in folk music schools and by playing together with traditional village musicians. |

The Harmonia Garden was found in 2006 by five talented young professional musicians. The band drives the listeners for an exotic journey by the music. You can recognize the tunes of the 18th century Csárdás (Czardas) or 19th century European folksongs over the 20th century django jazz standards until nowadays movie soundtracks such as the James Bond theme or the moving picture 'Chocholat' (2000). |

Their recent shows include a concert in the prestigious MÜPA concert hall, 17 May 2011, along with other definitive performers of the genre. Their latest album, Our Transylvanian Heath won the Fonogram award for Authentic Hungarian Folk Music in 2010. Tűz lángja band was formed in 2003 by two young musicians from Tordas(HU), Soma Salamon, and Krisztián Kiss. The expression "Tűz Lángja" means "the flame of the fire", it's the name of a dance from the Moldva region. |
